Welcome

Hi! My name is Henry Hyde and this is my website. This was started to do a lot of things. To help me learn how to build websites and code them. To further public interest in paddle sports. Lastly to further interest in paddling for kids like myself.

While kids are not a new phenomenon  to the sport, the rate at which kids are becoming involved is increasing. Most of this is because companies are now making gear that fits us. Also I think because we learn faster, kind of like skiing and boarding. The younger we learn, the better we learn, the better we become later on.

It is also good for "us" kids to become good stewards of our rivers. For too many years the machinery and people of the world around us has polluted and put in senseless dams and other constrictions that were never needed. People throw trash in our rivers like they are their personal trashcans. Nothing could be further from the truth. 

This site will also give you an idea of the safety issues you will face when you make that decision to learn to paddle and get on the river. I hope you enjoy this site and find it useful.

Last Years Medals

Yeah, I did okay! The hardest race was the slalom at FibArk and the most fun was the 8-Ball Boater-X at the Teva Mountain Games. I talked long trash to Hobie and the 8-Ballers took it easy on me. I don't think they will this year, but then neither will I!
